Labor and Employment Attorney

A respected litigation-focused law firm is seeking a Labor and Employment Attorney to join its growing practice. The firm represents businesses and organizations in complex workplace disputes while also providing strategic counsel on employment law compliance and risk management. The Labor and Employment Attorney will manage employment-related litigation matters while advising clients on workplace policies, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent employers in labor and employment litigation matters in state and federal courts
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal filings
• Conduct legal research and analyze employment law issues
• Manage discovery including written discovery, document review, and deposition preparation
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
• Advise clients on employment policies, workplace compliance, and risk management
• Assist with trial preparation including witness preparation and litigation strategy development

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of labor and employment law experience in a law firm environment
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience drafting substantive motions and managing discovery
• Deposition experience preferred
• Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and regulations
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced legal environment
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills
• Active admission to the applicable state bar in good standing
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required
