Title: Senior Tax Accountant

A well-established firm is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to support the continued growth of its tax practice. The firm provides comprehensive tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to a diverse client base that includes privately held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and growing organizations across multiple industries. The firm emphasizes strong client relationships, collaborative teamwork, and professional development while maintaining a high standard of technical excellence and service delivery.
This position will play a key role in delivering tax services, managing client engagements, and supporting the development of junior tax staff. This role is ideal for a motivated tax professional who enjoys working in a client-facing environment and contributing to strategic tax planning and compliance efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive tax services in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Build strong client relationships by understanding business operations and providing clear communication throughout engagements
• Prepare and review complex income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
• Identify and mitigate potential tax risks while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
• Support tax planning initiatives and assist with developing strategic tax solutions for clients
• Implement best practices to improve internal processes and enhance efficiency across engagements
• Mentor and assist in training junior tax staff to support their professional development
• Coordinate and assist with tax audits as needed
• Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and quality service
• Utilize strong project management, analytical, and communication skills to support engagement success
Required Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience in public accounting or a related tax role
• Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and preparation of various tax return types
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Exceptional client service and relationship-building abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Master’s in Taxation preferred
• CPA license preferred or currently in progress
