Geotechnical Project Manager

A well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to lead geotechnical investigations and engineering solutions for a variety of infrastructure and development projects. The organization is known for delivering technically sound solutions while maintaining a collaborative, client-focused project environment. The Geotechnical Project Manager will oversee project planning, technical analysis, and client coordination while ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and in compliance with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage geotechnical engineering projects from investigation through final reporting
  • Plan and oversee subsurface investigations, field testing, and laboratory analysis
  • Prepare and review geotechnical reports, foundation recommendations, and engineering analyses
  • Provide design recommendations related to foundations, earthwork, and soil stability
  • Coordinate with civil engineers, structural engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Conduct site visits and provide field support during construction phases
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
  • Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
  • Experience managing geotechnical investigations and engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design, and site development
  • Experience preparing geotechnical reports and engineering recommendations
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field required
