Assistant Branch Manager
Our client, a well-established and community-focused financial institution, is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support leadership and daily operations within one of its retail banking locations. The Assistant Branch Manager will partner with the Branch Manager to oversee daily operations, coach staff, and drive sales and service initiatives while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and high service standards
- Assist in coaching, developing, and motivating branch staff to achieve performance goals
- Drive deposit growth, consumer lending production, and cross-selling initiatives
- Resolve escalated customer concerns and maintain strong client satisfaction
- Monitor operational procedures and ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory guidelines
- Assist with scheduling, performance evaluations, and staff training initiatives
- Support community involvement and local business development efforts
- Step into branch leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Branch Manager
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of retail banking experience
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of consumer banking products, deposits, and retail lending
- Demonstrated success in sales and customer service performance
- Solid understanding of banking compliance and operational procedures
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and develop team members
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
