Commercial Lender

Our client, a well-established and relationship-driven community bank with a strong presence across its regional markets, is seeking a Commercial Lender to join its growing commercial banking team. The institution is known for its conservative credit culture, responsive local leadership, and long-standing partnerships with businesses ranging from small enterprises to established middle-market companies. This opportunity offers meaningful portfolio ownership, local decision-making authority, and the ability to directly impact market growth within a stable and respected platform.

The Commercial Lender will be responsible for developing new business relationships, structuring tailored credit solutions, and managing an existing portfolio while maintaining strong asset quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and business banking relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loans
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to assess credit risk
• Structure and negotiate loan terms including lines of credit, term loans, and real estate financing
• Prepare and present credit packages to loan committee
• Monitor portfolio performance and maintain strong asset quality standards
• Cross-sell deposit, treasury management, and other banking products
• Represent the bank within the local business community and participate in networking activities

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial lending experience in a banking environment
• Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting expertise
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow a loan portfolio
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and lending guidelines
• Established business development skills and community involvement preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
