Labor & Employment Attorney (Remote Opportunity)
Our client, a nationally respected law firm with a strong focus on management-side labor and employment law, is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney to join its growing practice. This attorney will serve as a strategic advisor to employers, handling a mix of litigation, counseling, and compliance matters in a dynamic and evolving regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent employers in employment litigation in state and federal courts
- Defend claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and wrongful termination
- Handle matters before administrative agencies including EEOC, DOL, and related state agencies
- Draft and argue substantive motions and manage all phases of discovery
- Advise clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and Title VII
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide risk mitigation strategies
- Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, and workplace policies
- Provide day-to-day counseling to HR professionals and executive leadership
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of labor and employment law experience
- Demonstrated experience managing employment litigation matters
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Experience drafting dispositive motions and overseeing discovery
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a national team
- Strong client counseling skills with a practical, business-oriented mindset
- Active admission to at least one state bar in good standing
- Experience representing government contractors or highly regulated employers is a plus
