Managing Partner

Our client, a well-established and highly respected CPA firm with long-standing client relationships, is seeking a Managing Partner to step into a succession role as a senior partner prepares for retirement. The firm has built a strong reputation for trusted advisory services, consistent client retention, and community presence. The Managing Partner will assume responsibility for firm leadership, client relationship oversight, and strategic direction while ensuring continued excellence in tax, accounting, and advisory services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee firm operations, financial performance, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Manage and review complex tax and accounting engagements
  • Maintain and transition key client relationships from retiring partner
  • Lead, mentor, and develop professional and administrative staff
  • Drive business development and long-term growth strategy
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee workflow management, quality control, and internal processes
  • Guide succession planning and long-term firm sustainability


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of public accounting experience with significant tax and advisory exposure
  • Proven leadership experience within a CPA firm environment
  • Strong background in managing client relationships and complex engagements
  • CPA license required
  • Experience overseeing staff, workflow, and firm operations
  • Demonstrated business development and practice growth capabilities
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic planning skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with long-term ownership interest preferred
