Senior Investment Portfolio Manager

A well-established financial institution with a strong commitment to client service and wealth preservation is seeking a Senior Investment Portfolio Manager to join its Wealth and Trust Division. The Senior Investment Portfolio Manager will play a key role in managing investment portfolios, developing customized wealth management strategies, and collaborating with clients and internal partners to support long-term financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of client investment accounts, ensuring alignment with individual financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences
- Develop and implement customized investment strategies designed to support both short- and long-term financial objectives
- Conduct market research and analysis on asset classes, investment products, and economic trends to support portfolio decisions
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend adjustments as market conditions and client needs evolve
- Evaluate and implement alternative investment solutions when appropriate
- Collaborate with clients and their advisors to assess retirement planning, estate strategies, tax considerations, and risk management needs
- Provide ongoing portfolio reviews and investment updates while maintaining strong client relationships
- Participate in the development of comprehensive wealth management plans
- Represent the organization through client presentations, educational seminars, and speaking engagements
- Partner with financial planners, trust officers, and client service teams to deliver a holistic wealth management experience
- Participate in client meetings and provide investment expertise within broader financial planning discussions
- Ensure all investment recommendations comply with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements
- Monitor and manage investment risk to protect client assets and maintain portfolio integrity
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree such as MBA, CPA, or similar designation preferred
- CFA, CFP, or other relevant industry certifications preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of portfolio management, wealth management, or related investment experience
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning and investment strategy development
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts
- Experience utilizing portfolio management software and financial planning tools
- Strong relationship-building and client management abilities
- Ability to handle confidential client matters with professionalism and discretion
