Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer

Our client, a well-capitalized and relationship-driven community financial institution, is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer to join its commercial banking leadership team. The organization is known for its strong credit culture, local decision-making authority, and long-standing partnerships with businesses throughout its market. This opportunity offers executive-level visibility, meaningful portfolio ownership, and the ability to directly influence commercial growth within a stable and respected banking platform.

The Vice President will focus on originating and managing complex commercial lending relationships while maintaining strong asset quality and contributing to overall market strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and middle-market lending relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loan opportunities
• Structure and negotiate complex credit facilities, including lines of credit, term loans, and owner-occupied real estate financing
• Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessments
• Prepare and present comprehensive credit packages to loan committee and senior leadership
• Monitor portfolio performance to ensure strong asset quality and compliance standards
• Collaborate with treasury management and retail teams to deepen overall client relationships
• Mentor junior lenders or support staff as needed
• Represent the institution in community and business development initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of commercial lending experience within a banking environment
• Demonstrated success in originating and growing a commercial loan portfolio
• Strong credit underwriting, structuring, and risk management expertise
• Experience presenting to loan committee and handling complex credit relationships
• Established network within the local or regional business community preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
