Senior Commercial Lender

Our client, a well-established and relationship-driven community financial institution with a strong presence in its regional markets, is seeking a Senior Commercial Lender to join its commercial banking leadership team. The organization is known for its disciplined credit culture, local decision-making authority, and long-standing partnerships with businesses across diverse industries. The Senior Commercial Lender will be responsible for originating and managing complex commercial relationships while maintaining strong asset quality and serving as a leader within the lending team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and middle-market lending relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loans
• Structure and negotiate complex credit facilities including lines of credit, term loans, and owner-occupied real estate financing
• Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessment
• Prepare and present comprehensive credit packages to loan committee and senior leadership
• Monitor portfolio performance to maintain strong asset quality and regulatory compliance
• Mentor and support junior lenders and commercial banking staff
• Collaborate with treasury management and retail teams to deepen overall client relationships
• Represent the institution in business development and community engagement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of commercial lending experience within a banking environment
• Demonstrated success in originating and growing a commercial loan portfolio
• Strong credit underwriting, structuring, and risk management expertise
• Experience handling larger or more complex credit relationships
• Established network within the local or regional business community preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and lending guidelines
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
