Attorney – Labor & Employment / Litigation
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented attorney to join a dynamic Labor & Employment practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment law matters, including both advisory and litigation work. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating California employment laws and a strong interest in representing clients across various stages of disputes and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on a broad spectrum of employment law issues, including wage and hour compliance, discrimination and harassment claims, and employment agreements
- Draft, review, and revise employment-related documents such as offer letters, employment agreements, severance agreements, and employee handbooks
- Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings, including court appearances, mediations, and hearings before state and federal agencies
- Conduct legal research and remain current on developments in California labor and employment law
- Assist in drafting workplace policies, conducting employee trainings, and providing day-to-day counseling to employers
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive and strategic legal solutions
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- 1 to 3 years of experience practicing employment law in California
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws, including wage and hour, discrimination, and retaliation matters
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with litigation and administrative proceedings is preferred
