Labor & Employment Attorney

Our client, a nationally recognized and highly respected law firm, is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney to join its dynamic and expanding practice. The firm partners with employers ranging from emerging growth companies to Fortune-level organizations and is known for delivering strategic, business-forward counsel in complex workplace matters. This attorney will serve as a key advisor to employers navigating an increasingly complex regulatory and litigation landscape, working alongside experienced practitioners in a team-oriented environment while maintaining meaningful autonomy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent employers in single-plaintiff and multi-plaintiff litigation in state and federal courts
  • Defend wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims
  • Handle matters before administrative agencies including EEOC, DOL, and state equivalents
  • Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, take and defend depositions, and participate in hearings and trials
  • Advise clients on day-to-day employment issues and workplace investigations
  • Draft, review, and revise employment agreements, separation agreements, policies, and handbooks
  • Counsel employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Support labor relations matters, including collective bargaining and grievance procedures, where applicable


Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of focused labor and employment law experience
  • Strong background in employment litigation with hands-on case management experience
  • Experience drafting substantive motions and managing discovery processes
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating within a team structure
  • Strong client counseling skills with a practical, business-oriented approach
  • Admission to the applicable state bar in good standing
  • Judicial clerkship or prior large firm experience is a plus
