Litigation Associate

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Texas-based law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing civil litigation practice. The firm represents businesses, property owners, and community associations in complex disputes and advisory matters across the state. Known for its practical approach, strong courtroom presence, and long-standing client relationships, the firm offers associates meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded litigator.


This associate will work across a diverse range of civil disputes, gaining hands-on experience in motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support civil litigation matters in state and federal courts
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and substantive legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and assist in developing litigation strategy
  • Handle written discovery, document production, and case management responsibilities
  • Take and defend depositions, including party and expert witnesses
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
  • Advise clients on dispute resolution strategies and litigation risk
  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex, multi-faceted matters


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience in a law firm setting
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience drafting dispositive motions and managing discovery
  • Deposition and courtroom experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
  • Active admission to the applicable state bar in good standing
