Senior Commercial Lender

Our client, a well-capitalized and growth-focused financial institution with a strong regional presence, is seeking a Senior Commercial Lender to join its commercial banking leadership team. The organization is known for its disciplined credit culture, community engagement, and relationship-driven approach to middle-market banking. The Senior Commercial Lender will be responsible for originating and managing complex commercial relationships while maintaining strong asset quality and contributing to overall market strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and middle-market lending relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loan opportunities
• Structure and negotiate complex credit facilities including lines of credit, term loans, and owner-occupied real estate financing
• Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessment
• Present credit packages and recommendations to loan committee and senior leadership
• Monitor portfolio performance to ensure strong asset quality and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with treasury management and retail teams to deepen overall client relationships
• Mentor junior lenders and support commercial team development
• Represent the institution in business and community development initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial lending experience within a banking environment
• Demonstrated success in originating and growing a commercial loan portfolio
• Strong credit underwriting, structuring, and risk management expertise
• Experience handling larger or more complex credit relationships
• Established network within the local or regional business community preferred
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and lending guidelines
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
