Senior Commercial Lender

Our client, a well-capitalized and growth-focused financial institution with a strong regional presence, is seeking a Senior Commercial Lender to join its commercial banking leadership team. The Senior Commercial Lender will be responsible for originating and managing complex commercial relationships while maintaining strong asset quality and contributing to overall market strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and middle-market lending relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loan opportunities
• Structure and negotiate complex credit facilities including lines of credit, term loans, and owner-occupied real estate financing
• Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessment
• Present credit packages and recommendations to loan committee and senior leadership
• Monitor portfolio performance to ensure strong asset quality and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with treasury management and retail teams to deepen overall client relationships
• Mentor junior lenders and support commercial team development
• Represent the institution in business and community development initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial lending experience within a banking environment
• Demonstrated success in originating and growing a commercial loan portfolio
• Strong credit underwriting, structuring, and risk management expertise
• Experience handling larger or more complex credit relationships
• Established network within the local or regional business community preferred
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and lending guidelines
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
