General Superintendent – Interiors & Special Projects

A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking a General Superintendent to lead interior and special projects across a diverse and active project portfolio. The organization is recognized for its strong reputation, repeat client base, and commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. This opportunity offers a senior leadership role with broad influence over field operations and the ability to shape project execution standards across multiple teams.


The General Superintendent will oversee field operations across multiple active projects, ensuring consistency in execution, adherence to safety and quality standards, and alignment with schedules and budgets. This role serves as a mentor to Superintendents and field staff while partnering closely with project management and preconstruction teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for Superintendents and field teams across multiple interior and special projects
  • Ensure consistent implementation of project startup standards, field procedures, and best practices
  • Coach, train, and develop field leadership while setting clear performance expectations
  • Monitor project schedules, constructability, sequencing, quality, and safety, and proactively recommend solutions
  • Champion jobsite safety, OSHA compliance, and required documentation and training standards
  • Support preconstruction efforts including constructability reviews, negotiated work, and competitive bids
  • Serve as a key resource for resolving complex field issues, coordination challenges, and critical milestones
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all job sites


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction
  • Proven experience leading field teams across multiple active projects
  • Strong understanding of field operations, roles, and project startup processes
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop Superintendents and field staff
  • Working knowledge of safety standards, OSHA requirements, and compliance documentation
  • Ability to evaluate and resolve challenges related to scheduling, constructability, quality, and safety
  • Experience supporting preconstruction efforts including negotiated work and competitive bidding
