Transactional Real Estate Attorney

Our client, a highly respected California law firm with a longstanding reputation representing financial institutions, commercial lenders, developers, and businesses, is seeking a Real Estate Transactional Associate Attorney to join its growing practice.


This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate and secured finance transactions for a diverse client base that includes banks, credit unions, private lenders, investors, and institutional clients. Attorneys in this practice handle complex real estate finance matters, loan transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, and other commercial real estate matters while enjoying significant client interaction, hands-on responsibility, and a collaborative team environment.


What You'll Do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate loan documents, including loan agreements, promissory notes, deeds of trust, guaranties, and related security documents.
  • Represent lenders, financial institutions, and commercial clients in real estate financing transactions.
  • Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, refinances, loan modifications, restructurings, and secured lending matters.
  • Assist with commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, due diligence, and closing documentation.
  • Perform due diligence, including review of title, survey, organizational documents, and other transaction-related materials.
  • Manage transactions from initial structuring through closing while working closely with clients and firm attorneys.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to develop practical business solutions for complex real estate and finance matters.


Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California Bar.
  • 3+ years of commercial real estate transactional and secured finance experience.
  • Experience representing lenders, financial institutions, developers, investors, or commercial clients preferred.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating real estate finance documents and transactional agreements.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple transactions while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
