Project Manager – Commercial Construction

A leading, nationally recognized commercial general contractor is seeking a Project Manager to support continued growth across its expanding portfolio. This organization is known for delivering high-quality, complex projects across a diverse range of sectors while maintaining a strong commitment to innovation, efficiency, and client satisfaction. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project execution, including financial performance, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships. This role may involve managing one large project or multiple projects simultaneously across various commercial sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout
  • Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and change order management
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure alignment with milestones and client expectations
  • Lead subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and scope management
  • Coordinate closely with field leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution
  • Maintain document control including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout documentation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and key stakeholders
  • Support preconstruction efforts including constructability reviews and budgeting input
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks while driving proactive problem-solving
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, safety protocols, and operational best practices


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 7–10+ years of experience within a commercial General Contracting or Construction Management environment
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial projects across sectors such as industrial, multifamily, healthcare, retail, or office
  • Strong understanding of project financial management, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
  • Experience with project management software such as Procore, Primavera, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of construction delivery methods including Design-Build, CM, and General Contracting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive successful project outcomes
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
