Commercial Lender

Our client, a long-standing and community-centered financial institution with a strong presence in its regional market, is seeking a Commercial Lender to join its business banking team. The bank is known for its personalized service model, local credit decision-making, and commitment to supporting businesses that drive the local economy. This opportunity offers meaningful portfolio ownership, strong internal support, and the ability to directly impact commercial growth within a stable and respected banking platform.

The Commercial Lender will serve as a trusted financial partner to business clients, originating new relationships while managing and expanding an existing commercial loan portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and business banking relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loans
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to assess creditworthiness
• Structure and negotiate loan terms including lines of credit, term loans, and real estate financing
• Prepare and present comprehensive credit packages to loan committee
• Monitor portfolio performance to maintain strong asset quality and risk management standards
• Cross-sell deposit, treasury management, and related banking products
• Participate in community and business development activities to expand market presence

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial lending experience within a bank
• Strong financial statement analysis and credit underwriting skills
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow a loan portfolio
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and lending guidelines
• Established business development and relationship-building abilities
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
