Supervising Tax Senior Associate

The firm is known for delivering high-level tax compliance and strategic advisory services to closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. The Supervising Tax Senior Associate will play a key role in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, supporting tax planning initiatives, and overseeing staff while maintaining direct client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
• Assist with tax planning and advisory engagements for business and individual clients
• Conduct technical tax research and draft memoranda on complex issues
• Analyze financial statements and supporting documentation for tax compliance
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information and resolve tax-related matters
• Support managers and partners in responding to IRS and state tax notices
• Supervise, mentor, and review work prepared by junior staff accountants
• Ensure compliance with deadlines and firm quality standards
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of public accounting experience with a focus in tax
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns
• Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations
• CPA license or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s in Taxation preferred
