Senior Tax Manager

The Senior Tax Manager will focus on strengthening client relationships, overseeing complex tax engagements, managing workflow across the tax department, and contributing to the growth of the firm through business development and leadership initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a significant volume of tax engagements while ensuring high-quality deliverables are completed on time and within budget
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor for tax planning and strategic guidance
• Review complex tax work and ensure compliance with firm quality control standards and regulatory requirements
• Identify and deliver value-added tax planning opportunities for clients
• Maintain a strong understanding of U.S. tax laws, including matters related to ownership of foreign entities by U.S. persons
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff and senior accountants
• Oversee workflow management within the tax department through effective delegation and supervision
• Stay informed on economic conditions, legislative developments, and regulatory changes impacting clients
• Participate in professional networking and business development activities to expand the firm’s client base
• Collaborate with partners and other professionals within the firm to address complex tax issues and deliver comprehensive solutions
• Support proposal development and participate in acquiring new clients or expanding services for existing clients
• Promote a positive team environment while contributing to strong morale and collaboration across the firm

Required Qualifications:

• 6–7+ years of experience in public accounting or a related tax environment
• CPA license required
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations across multiple entity types
• Experience managing complex tax engagements and reviewing the work of staff and senior accountants
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor, develop, and motivate team members
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and leadership
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Experience with tax and accounting software such as QuickBooks, ProSystems, or similar platforms preferred
• Ability to travel to client locations as needed, including occasional overnight stays
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire
