Wastewater Project Manager

A well-established heavy civil construction organization is seeking a Wastewater Project Manager to support continued growth within its project leadership team. The Wastewater Project Manager will oversee projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring schedule adherence, budget performance, and quality execution while serving as the primary liaison between clients, engineers, and field teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of wastewater and water treatment construction projects
• Develop and control project budgets, cost forecasts, and schedules
• Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal clients and engineering partners
• Oversee contract administration, procurement, and change order management
• Monitor project performance to ensure profitability and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements
• Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to leadership
• Support successful commissioning and project closeout processes

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of project management experience in water treatment, wastewater, or similar
• Direct experience managing water or wastewater treatment plant projects
• Strong understanding of public infrastructure contracts and municipal processes
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cost controls effectively
• Experience coordinating field teams and subcontractors
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
