Civil Engineer – Coastal Projects

Our client, a highly specialized and growth-oriented engineering and development firm, is seeking a Civil Engineer to support complex coastal and waterfront projects. The Civil Engineer will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of coastal engineering projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and support coastal and waterfront infrastructure projects, including shoreline stabilization and marine structures
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and construction documents
  • Assist with permitting processes and coordination with environmental and regulatory agencies
  • Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and engineering assessments
  • Support project management efforts including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination
  • Collaborate with surveyors, environmental consultants, and construction teams
  • Review contractor submittals and provide construction-phase support
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering standards and environmental regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, with exposure to coastal, marine, or waterfront projects preferred
  • Experience with site design, grading, drainage, and infrastructure development
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or related design software
  • Knowledge of coastal permitting and environmental regulations preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure preferred
