Personal Injury Defense Attorney (Mid–Senior Level)

A well-established litigation firm is seeking a mid to senior level Personal Injury Defense Attorney to join its growing practice. The firm represents insurance carriers and insured clients in complex personal injury matters and is known for its strategic approach, strong litigation capabilities, and collaborative environment. This opportunity offers hands-on responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution within a respected defense practice. The Personal Injury Defense Attorney will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload, developing litigation strategy, and working closely with clients and carriers to drive favorable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury defense matters from inception through resolution
• Develop and execute case strategy, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other substantive legal documents
• Conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances
• Collaborate with insurance carriers and clients to evaluate liability and exposure
• Prepare witnesses and experts for deposition and trial
• Handle negotiations and settlement discussions
• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status and strategy

Required Qualifications:

• 3–10 years of personal injury defense litigation experience
• Experience managing cases independently in a law firm environment
• Strong litigation strategy, case management, and analytical skills
• Deposition and motion practice experience required; trial experience is a plus
• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
• Strong client relationship and communication abilities
• Active admission to the applicable state bar in good standing
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required

Compensation:

• $130,000 – $210,000 annually, depending on experience
