Position Title: Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director (Partner Track)

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Full-Time | In-Office

About the Firm

Our client is a full-service CPA and business consulting firm based in Fort Worth, serving small to midsize businesses, business owners, executives, and individuals across the DFW area. The firm has built its reputation on a hands-on, personalized approach to accounting, where clients work directly with experienced advisors rather than getting lost in a large firm structure. With a close-knit team and a genuine family style culture, the firm prides itself on giving clients and staff alike the attention and consistency that larger firms often can't offer.

About the Role

The firm is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to step into a review-focused role with a clear path to partnership. This position was created to fill the gap left by a longtime tax partner and will take on ownership of complex return review, client relationships, and technical leadership across the tax practice. This is a genuine opportunity for someone who wants to build toward equity ownership in a firm with a strong, loyal client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review complex individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns across a range of client industries, including high net worth individuals
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for key client relationships, providing proactive tax planning and advisory guidance
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to tax staff and senior associates
  • Support engagement quality control and workflow across the tax department
  • Work directly with firm leadership on client strategy and long-term practice growth
  • Take on increasing ownership responsibilities as part of a defined path toward partnership

Required Qualifications

  • CPA or EA required
  • 10+ years of public accounting tax experience, with a strong review background
  • Comfortable managing complex returns and mentoring less experienced staff
  • Genuine interest in growing into a partnership role over time
  • Strong communication skills and client relationship experience

What Makes This Opportunity Different

  • Clear, realistic path to partnership at a firm actively looking to bring someone into that role
  • Small, tight-knit team with direct access to firm leadership
  • Hands-on culture where client relationships and staff development are prioritized over volume
  • Established client base built over years of firm reputation and community presence
