Commercial Lender

Our client, a well-capitalized and growth-oriented financial institution with a strong regional presence, is seeking a Commercial Lender to join its expanding commercial banking team. The Commercial Lender will focus on developing new business relationships, structuring customized credit solutions, and managing an existing portfolio while maintaining high asset quality and long-term client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial banking relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loans
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to assess credit risk
• Structure and negotiate loan terms including lines of credit, term loans, and real estate financing
• Prepare and present comprehensive credit packages to loan committee
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance with credit and regulatory standards
• Cross-sell treasury management, deposit, and related banking products
• Participate in community and business development activities to expand market presence
• Maintain ongoing client communication and strategic advisory engagement

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial lending experience within a banking environment
• Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting expertise
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow a loan portfolio
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and lending policies
• Established network within the local business community preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
