Construction Litigation Attorney
Our client, a well-established and nationally respected law firm, is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its growing construction and infrastructure practice. The firm represents developers, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and owners in complex, high-stakes disputes across a range of commercial and industrial projects. Known for its strong regional presence and collaborative culture, this opportunity offers hands-on litigation experience, meaningful client interaction, and a clear path for advancement.
This attorney will play a key role in managing sophisticated construction disputes from pre-litigation strategy through trial or resolution, partnering closely with clients to deliver practical and results-driven legal solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex construction litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Handle disputes involving delay claims, defect claims, payment disputes, and contract performance issues
- Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive and discovery motions
- Manage written discovery, take and defend depositions, and work with expert witnesses
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
- Analyze construction contracts and advise clients on risk mitigation and dispute avoidance strategies
- Collaborate with clients, insurers, and industry professionals throughout the litigation lifecycle
- Support business development efforts within the construction and infrastructure sector
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of litigation experience, with exposure to construction-related disputes preferred
- Strong experience drafting pleadings, motions, and managing discovery
- Courtroom experience, including hearings or trial participation, is a plus
- Ability to independently manage files while working within a team-oriented practice
- Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills
- Experience working with technical experts or industry consultants preferred
- Active admission to the applicable state bar in good standing
