Commercial Lender

Our client, a well-capitalized and community-focused financial institution with a strong presence in its market, is seeking a Commercial Lender to join its expanding commercial banking team. The organization is recognized for its relationship-driven model, disciplined credit culture, and commitment to long-term partnerships with local businesses. This opportunity offers meaningful portfolio ownership, local decision-making authority, and the ability to contribute to strategic growth within a stable and respected banking platform.

The Commercial Lender will serve as a trusted advisor to business clients, originating new lending relationships while managing and growing an existing portfolio across commercial and industrial and commercial real estate segments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial lending relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loan opportunities
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to evaluate credit risk
• Structure and negotiate loan terms including lines of credit, term loans, and real estate financing
• Prepare and present credit packages and recommendations to loan committee
• Monitor portfolio performance and maintain strong asset quality standards
• Cross-sell treasury management, deposit, and other banking solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the local business community
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal lending policies

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial lending experience within a banking environment
• Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting expertise
• Demonstrated success in business development and portfolio growth
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management practices
• Established network within the local business community preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
