Commercial Insurance Producer


A growing independent insurance agency is seeking a Commercial Insurance Producer to support continued expansion within its commercial lines division. The Commercial Insurance Producer will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and growing a profitable book of commercial insurance business. This role is ideal for a highly motivated sales professional who thrives in a performance-driven environment and enjoys the autonomy to build and manage their own portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new commercial insurance business through prospecting, networking, and referral development
  • Build and manage a profitable commercial insurance book of business
  • Develop relationships with business owners and decision-makers across target industries
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products, including high-net-worth personal lines when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate documentation of accounts, applications, and client interactions
  • Provide consultative insurance solutions tailored to client needs
  • Manage client relationships to support long-term retention and account growth
  • Collaborate with agency leadership and service teams to ensure exceptional client experiences
  • Consistently meet or exceed production and revenue goals
  • Represent the agency professionally within the local business community


Required Qualifications:

  • Prior insurance sales experience preferred
  • Independent insurance agency experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in business development, relationship management, or commission-based sales environments
  • Backgrounds in commercial banking, financial services, mortgage lending, real estate, or similar industries will be considered
  • Proven ability to prospect and develop new business opportunities
  • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a goal-oriented, performance-driven environment
