LItigation Associate Attorney

A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its expanding defense practice. The firm is known for representing businesses, insurers, and organizations in complex liability matters while providing strategic legal advocacy across a wide range of industries. The Litigation Associate Attorney will assist in managing litigation matters from early case development through resolution while working closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop effective defense strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support general liability litigation matters in state and federal courts
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents
• Conduct legal research and analyze liability issues
• Manage written discovery, document review, and deposition preparation
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and hearings
• Assist with trial preparation including witness preparation and exhibit management
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case developments and strategy

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability or insurance defense
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience drafting substantive motions and managing discovery
• Deposition experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced litigation environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
• Active admission to the applicable state bar in good standing
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required
