Project Manager

A well-established construction organization specializing in industrial and heavy commercial projects is seeking a Project Manager to support continued growth within its project management team. The Project Manager I will be responsible for overseeing project planning, financial management, scheduling, and coordination of field operations and subcontractors. This role may involve managing one large project or multiple small to mid-sized projects simultaneously, with delivery methods including self-perform construction, general contracting, and construction management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project planning, scheduling, logistics, and execution to ensure successful project delivery
  • Oversee project financial performance including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and profit/loss management
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and self-perform field teams
  • Collaborate with internal leadership, clients, engineers, designers, and regulatory authorities to support project success
  • Support project buyout processes and assist with estimating, budgeting, and scope change pricing
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using industry scheduling tools
  • Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and closeout documentation
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and project transparency
  • Assist with procurement processes including letters of intent, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements
  • Monitor project progress during construction, track labor costs, expedite materials, and update project schedules
  • Ensure project documentation and compliance requirements are completed during project closeout
  • Support company safety culture and ensure adherence to established safety policies and procedures
  • Travel may be required depending on project location


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Approximately 8–10 years of experience within a general contracting or construction management environment
  • Experience managing industrial or heavy commercial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, estimating support, and procurement processes
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and field operations
  • Familiarity with project management and construction software platforms such as Procore, Prolog, Sage 300, or similar systems
  • Understanding of multiple project delivery methods including Design-Build, General Contracting, and Construction Management
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Experience with self-perform construction environments preferred
  • Automotive or maintenance project experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced construction environment
