Tax Manager

Location: Memphis, TN (On-site | Hybrid flexibility outside of tax season)

Base Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 | Total Compensation Potential: $135,000 – $170,000+

The Tax Manager will lead complex tax engagements, deliver proactive planning strategies, and serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and high-income families — while mentoring staff and contributing to practice development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex federal and state returns (corporations, partnerships, S-Corps, individuals)
• Lead tax planning and consulting engagements to identify strategic savings opportunities
• Serve as a primary client contact for tax matters, compliance, and audit support
• Supervise, mentor, and develop senior and staff accountants
• Oversee outsourced preparation vendors and drive workflow efficiency
• Contribute to business development and client retention

Required Qualifications

• Active CPA license
• 5+ years of public accounting experience with a strong tax focus
• Experience reviewing complex business and individual returns
• Demonstrated tax planning and advisory expertise
• Prior supervisory experience
• Strong client communication and relationship management skills
• Bachelor's in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $90,000 – $115,000 depending on experience
