Business Banker

Our client, a well-established and relationship-driven community bank with a strong presence in its regional market, is seeking a Business Banker to join its growing business banking team. The institution is known for its responsive leadership, sound credit philosophy, and commitment to supporting local businesses through personalized financial solutions. This opportunity offers the ability to build and manage a commercial portfolio with local decision-making authority and strong internal support.

The Commercial Banker will focus on developing new business relationships, structuring customized credit solutions, and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio while serving as a trusted advisor to business clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of business banking relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loans
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to assess creditworthiness
• Structure and negotiate credit facilities including lines of credit, term loans, and owner-occupied real estate financing
• Prepare and present loan packages to credit committee
• Monitor portfolio performance to ensure strong asset quality and risk management
• Cross-sell deposit, treasury management, and related banking products
• Represent the bank in local business and community events to enhance market presence
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal lending policies

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial banking or lending experience
• Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting skills
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow a loan portfolio
• Knowledge of commercial lending regulations and compliance standards
• Established network within the local business community preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
