Commercial Lender

Our client, a well-established and relationship-driven community financial institution, is seeking a Commercial Lender to join its growing commercial banking team. The organization is known for its strong credit discipline, local decision-making authority, and long-standing partnerships with businesses across its markets. This opportunity offers meaningful portfolio ownership, production autonomy, and the ability to make a direct impact within a stable and respected banking platform.

The Commercial Lender will focus on developing new business relationships, structuring tailored credit solutions, and managing an existing commercial portfolio while maintaining strong asset quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and middle-market lending relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loan opportunities
• Structure and negotiate credit facilities including lines of credit, term loans, and real estate financing
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to assess credit risk
• Prepare and present loan packages and recommendations to loan committee
• Monitor portfolio performance to ensure strong asset quality and regulatory compliance
• Cross-sell deposit and treasury management products to deepen client relationships
• Participate in community and business development initiatives to expand market presence
• Maintain ongoing client communication and advisory engagement

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial lending experience within a banking environment
• Demonstrated success in business development and portfolio growth
• Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting expertise
• Experience managing C&I and commercial real estate transactions
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and lending guidelines
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Established network within the local business community preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
