General Liability Associate

A well-established litigation-focused law firm is seeking a General Liability Associate to join its expanding practice. The firm is known for representing businesses, insurers, and organizations in complex liability matters while maintaining a collaborative and results-driven legal environment. This opportunity offers hands-on litigation experience, direct client engagement, and the ability to work on a wide range of general liability cases within a respected and growing legal platform.

The General Liability Associate will assist in managing litigation matters from early case development through resolution while working closely with senior attorneys to develop effective defense strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support general liability litigation matters in state and federal courts
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex liability issues
• Handle written discovery, document review, and deposition preparation
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Assist with trial preparation including witness preparation and exhibit coordination
• Communicate with clients regarding case progress and legal strategy
• Maintain case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedures

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability or insurance defense
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience drafting motions and managing discovery
• Deposition and courtroom experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced legal environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
• Active admission to the applicable state bar in good standing
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required
