Civil Engineer – Coastal Projects

The Civil Engineer will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of coastal engineering projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and support coastal and waterfront infrastructure projects, including shoreline stabilization and marine structures
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and construction documents
- Assist with permitting processes and coordination with environmental and regulatory agencies
- Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and engineering assessments
- Support project management efforts including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination
- Collaborate with surveyors, environmental consultants, and construction teams
- Review contractor submittals and provide construction-phase support
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering standards and environmental regulations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, with exposure to coastal, marine, or waterfront projects preferred
- Experience with site design, grading, drainage, and infrastructure development
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or related design software
- Knowledge of coastal permitting and environmental regulations preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure preferred
