Project Superintendent - Construction

A well-established commercial construction organization is seeking a Project Superintendent to support project execution and field leadership across commercial construction projects. The company is known for delivering high-quality work through strong safety practices, operational efficiency, and collaboration across project teams. This opportunity offers leadership responsibility on active job sites and the ability to oversee field operations from project start through completion.


The Project Superintendent will manage and control assigned projects by overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, scheduling, quality assurance, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers. This role works closely with project leadership including the Senior Superintendent, Project Manager, and Assistant Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered successfully.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enforce all job site safety protocols and procedures
  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities on site
  • Develop and maintain the project construction schedule while identifying and resolving potential issues
  • Order materials and coordinate required inspections throughout the project lifecycle
  • Organize and manage all self-perform work on the job site
  • Direct field personnel to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to project plans and specifications
  • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to maintain efficient workflow and productivity
  • Monitor work quality to ensure compliance with project standards and expectations


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of construction industry experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction means and methods for commercial and institutional building construction and renovation
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, field coordination, and construction operations
  • Proficiency with construction-related software, including spreadsheets, email, and scheduling tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and personalities
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized professional
  • Four-year college degree preferred
