We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our growing commercial construction team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career with a reputable general contractor while gaining hands-on experience across all phases of construction projects.

As a Project Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day project operations from preconstruction through closeout
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure project milestones are met
• Review and process submittals, RFIs, and change orders
• Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, and reports
• Support project scheduling and help track progress against timelines
• Monitor project costs and assist with budget tracking and forecasting
• Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and contract requirements
• Assist with punch lists and project closeout documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• 0–4+ years of experience in commercial construction (internships count)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
