Commercial Loan Officer
Our client, a growth-oriented and relationship-focused financial institution, is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to join its expanding commercial banking team. The Commercial Loan Officer will focus on originating and managing commercial lending relationships while delivering customized credit solutions and maintaining strong asset quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and middle-market lending relationships
- Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loan opportunities
- Structure and negotiate credit facilities including lines of credit, term loans, and owner-occupied real estate financing
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to assess credit risk
- Prepare and present loan packages and recommendations to credit committee
- Monitor portfolio performance to ensure compliance and strong asset quality
- Cross-sell deposit, treasury management, and related banking services
- Participate in community and business development initiatives to expand market presence
- Maintain ongoing client communication and advisory engagement
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial lending experience within a banking environment
- Demonstrated success in business development and portfolio growth
- Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting expertise
- Experience managing C&I and commercial real estate transactions
- Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and lending guidelines
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
