Senior Commercial Lender

Our client, a well-capitalized and relationship-driven financial institution with a strong regional presence, is seeking a Senior Commercial Lender to join its commercial banking leadership team. The Senior Commercial Lender will focus on originating and managing complex commercial relationships while mentoring junior lenders and contributing to overall commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and middle-market lending relationships
• Proactively originate commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loans
• Structure and negotiate complex credit facilities including lines of credit, term loans, and owner-occupied real estate financing
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessments
• Present loan opportunities and recommendations to senior leadership and loan committee
• Monitor portfolio performance to maintain strong asset quality and regulatory compliance
• Mentor and support junior commercial lenders and banking staff
• Partner with treasury management and retail teams to deepen client relationships
• Represent the institution within the local business and community network

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial lending experience within a banking environment
• Demonstrated success in originating and growing a commercial loan portfolio
• Strong credit underwriting, structuring, and risk management expertise
• Experience handling larger or more complex credit relationships
• Established network within the local or regional business community preferred
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and lending guidelines
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
