Site Safety Professional

A well-established construction organization specializing in industrial and heavy commercial projects is seeking a Site Safety Professional to support ongoing jobsite operations. This organization is known for its strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and a people-first culture. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of jobsite safety initiatives while working alongside experienced project and field leadership teams.


The Site Safety Professional is responsible for managing all jobsite safety activities, including developing and implementing site-specific safety plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving proactive risk mitigation efforts. This is a full-time, field-based role that may require overtime and travel.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and uphold the company’s safety culture and ensure compliance with all corporate safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to support safe and successful project delivery
  • Develop and implement site-specific Jobsite Safety Plans
  • Establish onsite emergency response plans and coordinate offsite medical arrangements
  • Conduct safety orientations for all employees and subcontractors
  • Assist field supervision with pre-task planning and hazard analysis
  • Implement and manage safety observation programs and communicate findings to project teams
  • Support incident investigations and assist with root cause analysis
  • Lead weekly Toolbox Talks and ongoing safety meetings
  • Perform daily jobsite safety inspections to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Maintain safety documentation, including Safety Data Sheets and compliance records
  • Deliver safety training on topics such as fall protection, confined space, aerial lifts, and hazard communication
  • Represent the company in client and stakeholder safety meetings
  • Verify employee compliance with safety training and drug testing requirements prior to site access
  • Maintain onsite safety boards and required postings
  • Enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support jobsite safety


Required Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 500 or 510 preferred
  • Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) designation preferred
  • Experience supporting safety efforts on industrial or heavy commercial construction projects preferred
  • Ability to work independently and lead safety initiatives in a field environment
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, hazard recognition, and risk mitigation practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe jobsite
