Commercial Construction Superintendent

A well-established commercial construction organization is seeking a Superintendent to support continued growth within its Florida operations. The company is known for delivering high-quality ground-up projects across diverse sectors including healthcare, municipal, K-12 education, and commercial developments. This opportunity offers the ability to lead field operations on impactful projects while working alongside experienced teams committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

The Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, safety enforcement, and quality control. This role requires strong communication with trade partners, project managers, and clients while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all field operations for ground-up commercial construction projects
• Lead projects ranging from approximately $5M to $50M+ in value
• Perform weekly safety inspections and conduct regular safety meetings in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards
• Interpret project scope, drawings, specifications, addendums, and change orders to ensure accurate execution of work
• Schedule subcontractors and field manpower to maintain efficient project workflow
• Order materials, tools, and equipment required for on-site operations
• Coordinate communication between subcontractors, owners, architects, and project managers
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation on site
• Coordinate delivery schedules for non-building materials during project startup
• Conduct pre-construction meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to verify site layouts and building dimensions and communicate discrepancies to project management

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of field experience as a Superintendent or General Foreman preferred
• Proven experience supervising subcontractors on commercial construction projects
• Strong commitment to jobsite safety and quality standards
• Familiarity with construction technology platforms such as ProCore, SmartSheets, BlueBeam, and Excel
• Ability to solve problems independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
